About this Event
A tour of Manchester city centre, past, present and future exploring the personalities that have helped make the city and visiting spectacular, important and unusual buildings - taking place as part of YHA's Festival of Walking.
Starting and finishing at YHA Manchester, this central walk includes part of the GM Ringway – Greater Manchester’s walking trail. Jonathan will take you on a tour around some of Manchester's City Centre highlights - sharing his vast knowledge of the city with you along the way.
The paths used are all hard-surf faced but narrow, sloped, or cobbled in places. The walk will be over 4 hours with a 20-minute break in the middle.
As part of the festival celebrations, participants get a free cuppa and cake at YHA Manchester at the end of the walk, and there's also a discount for anyone wanting to book accommodation at the hostel as part of the Festival.
