About this Event
Welcome back to your "home away from home"!
Can you believe it's been 40 years?! You are invited to share a special CITs of 1982 Reunion at Camp Alonim this summer on Friday, July 1st. You're welcome to bring your spouse/partner.
Shabbat is a great time to experience the energy, warmth, and unique spirit that exist at Camp Alonim. We invite you to arrive at camp at between 4:00 - 4:30 pm. There will be a Schmooze and Socialize "hour" between 4:00 and 4:45 pm to reconnect with your fellow CITs and enjoy light refreshments. The group will proceed together to Kabbalat Shabbat services beginning at 5:00pm. A delicious dinner will follow at approximately 6:30, followed by a soulful song session at 8:00 and, at around 8:45, our unparalleled tradition of Israeli folk dancing. The evening concludes for guests at 10:00 p.m.
To arrange your Shabbat visit, please fill out this form as soon as possible -- before we sell out or registration closes.
All reservations are non-refundable. Should the unlikely event occur that we cancel the reunion due to COVID-19 precautions, we will refund all reservations.

Camp Alonim's COVID-19 related Policies: Camp Alonim asks our visitors and guests to join in safeguarding our community against the spread of COVID-19. American Jewish University's updated COVID-19 policy requires visitors and patrons to our campus to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To enter our campus, please bring a photo ID and proof of vaccination, either your physical vaccination card, a picture of your vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record. All California residents may request a digital vaccination record at myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov.
Those who need a reasonable exemption for medical reasons must reach out to [email protected] before May 1, 2022 to seek an exemption to this policy. All exemptions will be reviewed by our Camp Alonim medical committee and may not be granted.
An additional precaution of providing proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to entering our campus may be required for all guests.
Masks are required for all visitors, regardless of vaccination status. Per local Department of Health regulations, attendees will be required to wear masks when indoors. Attendees must also wear masks outdoors when physical distancing from campers cannot be maintained.
COVID-19 related policies and protocols are subject to change and any changes will be communicated to registered guests as soon as possible.
FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS
What do I do if the cost of attending is prohibitive to my attending the reunion? Please reach out to us at [email protected] if the cost of a ticket would mean you would not be financially able to attend your CIT Reunion. We want every Alonimer to be able to return to Peppertree Lane for their reunion and will work with you to ensure attending the reunion is financially viable for you. We encourage attendees who are able to contribute to support their fellow CITs who may need assistance by adding the $25 "Sponsor Half a Ticket for a Fellow CIT" to their cart to contribute to our ability to welcome every Alonimer back to their camp reunion this summer.
Do Alonimers still wear all-white clothing on Shabbat? Yes. Guests visiting on Shabbat should wear white clothing. White shorts are fine. Belts and shoes do not have to be white.
What do I do if I can't arrive by 4:30? Arrive whenever you can. Just follow the signs to park in the parking lot behind Fligelman and walk up to camp.
Can I arrive early? We appreciate your eagerness to spend time at camp, but we ask that you not arrive early.
Where do I sit for services? There will be open seats for guests at the back of the all camp services.
Why aren't services being held in the Rec Hall? The Rec Hall is too small to fit the number of campers who now attend camp, not to mention everyone who is visiting. The Rec Hall is still used for camp programs and activities.
Where do I sit for dinner? There will be reserved tables for guests in the old Dining Hall.
Can I visit a bunk or see the CIT area while I'm at camp? We ask that you not enter places where our campers, CITs, or staff members reside.
Is Shabbat at Camp Alonim a wondrous experience that we can't wait to share with you? It sure is!
