For the first time ever, MILNetBD is introducing the Citizenship Olympiad; a national, online Olympiad designed to test and strengthen young people’s Media and Information Literacy (MIL), critical thinking, and responsible citizenship in today’s digital and civic environment.This is not a memorization exam. It is a critical-thinking Olympiad based on real-world scenarios related to media, information, citizenship, and democratic participation.
What is the Olympiad about?
- Participants will be assessed on their ability to:
- identify misinformation, disinformation, and manipulated content
- apply Media and Information Literacy principles
- understand citizenship, constitutional values, and civic responsibility
- respond responsibly to information during elections and public decision-making
📝 How will the Olympiad take place?
Mode: Fully online
Final Assessment:
📅 07 February 2026
🧮 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
⏱ Time-bound online quiz
Questions will be scenario-based and focused on judgment, not rote learning.
📚 What topics will the questions come from?
Questions will be based on the official Olympiad resource pack, including:
Media and Information Literacy (MIL) core concepts, Information disorder (misinformation, disinformation, deepfakes, etc.); Ethical digital behaviour and responsible sharing; Citizenship and constitutional principles of Bangladesh; Elections, referendums, and information integrity (No memorization of legal articles or unpublished documents is required)

👥 Who can participate?
Age: 18–35 years
Eligibility: Bangladeshi citizens
Background: Open to students and youth from all disciplines
Participation is free and open nationwide.
