Lauriston Castle Lectures
In this beautifully illustrated talk, social history curator Vicky Garrington uses the dress and textiles collection of Museums & Galleries Edinburgh to explore the history of re-fashioning and re-use in clothing and asks what we can learn from this today as we try to reduce the impact of fashion on the planet. Vicky is one of Museums & Galleries Edinburgh’s social history curators, with a focus on dress history and wartime collections.

All our lecture mornings cost £8 and include a friendly lecture where you can meet our guest lecturer, have coffee and a sweet treat and get a special castle tour. Why not make a day of it at Lauriston and have some lunch at Mimi’s café on-site after your lecture experience?
