About this Event
6:30pm - 8:30pm // All materials supplied
Come and discover the joy of assemblage art this January at The Circular Space. Cornell boxes are glass-fronted shadow boxes created by artist Joseph Cornell, which contains a curated collection of found objects or photographs to create a unique, miniature world. The Scrap Space is the perfect place to create your own take on this art of memory.
The venue: This night takes place at The Circular Space - home of The Scrap Space. Their aim is to bring joy to the community while looking after the planet - something we very much support! You can find them on Ham Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6PA (look for the blue sign by the bus stop next to the Police Station).
What to expect: Collaging is super straightforward, giving you the time and space to simply get creative and have fun. The theme is there to give you a creative challenge, and I'll be on hand with ideas if you need them. There'll also be hot drinks and sweet treats for you to enjoy.
What you need to bring: Nothing! We'll supply everything you need, plus you'll have the opportunity to rummage in The Scrap Space. However, feel free to bring along bits and pieces from home if you want to use something specific.
About your evening's host: The event is hosted by Harriet (Papermade by Battenade)
