About this Event
Circling for BIPOC Homies is a meaningful and transformative space for connection, healing, and empowerment that’s just for us. Rooted in conscious communication and cultivating mutual presence, Circling creates a container where folks can come together to share freely, process real time emotions, and build authentic relationships.
Circling is a relational mindfulness practice where a group of people sit in a circle and gather to have free flowing conversation. Guided by facilitator Ahran Lee, we foster connection, aliveness, and awareness in every circle through deep listening and present-oriented communication. Some of the benefits of a Circling practice includes:
- Conflict repair skills
- Accessing empathy
- Cultivating self awareness
- Increasing social-relational intelligence
- Developing full body listening
- Practicing vulnerability
- Honing authentic expression
- Increasing body awareness
- Practicing mindfulness
- Learning how to ask and receive
In a world where systemic oppression often silences BIPOC perspectives, Circling for BIPOC Homies provides an affirming space to explore safely and practice vulnerability without the burden of educating or accommodating dominant cultural norms. This practice fosters a sense of collective and individual healing and solidarity, reminding us that we are not alone in this thing called life.
