About this Event
Mistaken For Wayne
Mistaken for Wayne is a small-scale organic farmer and musician. His music stems from the view outside his windowpane: the cycle of seasons, nature’s evolution, and time passing. In all his music, he focuses on sustenance—whether through a harsh winter, a hard love, or an artistic pursuit. He makes music with a sunburnt sleeve, portraying rural life and the nature around us all.
Fauxcils
Goth pop duo fauxcils excavate and sift the work of jennherd and dunstantopp, two francophone artists from Sudbury, Ontario. Fed by cold love, androgynous fashion and synthesizers, fauxcils burn a lush soundscape of sequin sequences, drum machines, chorused lashes and painted faces. With modern textures fixed in ageless arrangement, they construct ornate video performances of ceramic collage.
Will Powers
Wearer-of-many-hats Oli Palkovits’ personal project, Will Powers, serves as the main vehicle for his synesthetic approach to music, thoughtfully but effortlessly blending different textures into a nostalgic, reflective pattern. Similar to artists such as Nap Eyes, Kevin Morby, and Andy Shauf, Oli Palkovits’ songwriting will mesmerize even the unruliest of audiences. Oli released two EPs in 2020 which have been hailed by the likes of Bizzarre, Canadian Beats, Out Loud Culture, Two Story Melody, Aesthetic Magazine and more.
