Séance spéciale du film L'ATELIER DE MON PÈRE, suivie d’un échange entre Anne-Marie Saint-Jean Aubre, conservatrice de l’art québécois et canadien contemporain au MBAM et Jennifer Alleyn, fille de l’artiste.En ouverture, le conteur Paul Bradley proposera une courte performance inspirée de l'œuvre de l’artiste.
Réalisé par Jennifer Alleyn, le film, lauréat du prix de la meilleure œuvre canadienne au FIFA 2008, retrace la carrière et les œuvres de son père, Edmund Alleyn, figure marquante de l’histoire de l’art contemporain canadien.
Cette projection, organisée pour commémorer le 20e anniversaire du décès de l’artiste, coïncide avec la remise en exposition de l’œuvre L’Invitation au voyage au MBAM.

Special screening of the film MY FATHER’S STUDIO, followed by a discussion with Anne-Marie Saint-Jean Aubre, curator of Québec and Canadian contemporary art at the MBAM, and Jennifer Alleyn, the artist’s daughter.
Opening the evening, storyteller Paul Bradley will present a short performance inspired by the artist’s work.
Directed by Jennifer Alleyn, the film, winner of the Best Canadian Work award at FIFA 2008, traces the career and works of her father, Edmund Alleyn, a key figure in Canadian contemporary art history.
This screening, organized to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the artist’s passing, coincides with the re-exhibition of L’Invitation au voyage at the MBAM.
