Now in its 12th year, Essex Community Outreach, in collaboration with Casey Family Programs, YMCA of Greater Seattle, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, Rainier Athletes, Treehouse, Bellevue LifeSpring, Hyatt Regency, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Community Passageways, Urban Games and others, is pleased to host Cinematique: Fostering Community and Connection.
We are very pleased to share that as with last year, we have secured a large venue for the enjoyment of participating youth, families, and collaborating organizations.
We are pleased to share that Cinematique 2024 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue!
A primary goal of the event continues to be to reach middle school and high school students in foster care and in need and their families. We connect them with resource providers to encourage graduating from high school, pursuing higher education, and living a healthy lifestyle using cinema as a fun, holiday attraction.

What: Cinematique: Fostering Community and Connection
Who: Welcoming registered and confirmed foster and underserved youth and their families (targeting 2000+)
Date: Sunday, December 15, 2024
Set Up Time: 8 am
Check-in Time for Registered Youth and Families: 10 am
Resource Fair: 10 am - 1 pm
Location: Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA, 98004
This year’s event will feature Platinum Movie Passes and Concession Cards for registered families to attend a movie of their choice at Lincoln Square. Family-friendly movies premiering in December 2024 may include: Karate Kid, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, and Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, to name a few.
