Premier Integrative Health, After the Harvest and Compost Collective KC are collaborating for a one-of-a-kind Kansas City community event at Loose Park!
Get you free ticket for this event under the "Find Tickets" tab (on the right side of your screen).
We invite you and your friends to join us for an outdoor screening of WASTED! The Story Of Food Waste produced by Anthony Bourdain.
This wildly entertaining & educational documentary exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change, food scarcity, and the degradation of our soils. WASTED! demonstrates how each of us can make small changes – all of them delicious – to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.
Through the eyes of famous chefs, you will see how they make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system.
Premier Integrative Health, After The Harvest and Compost Collective KC are 3 organizations in your area that are extremely passionate about reducing food waste, supporting their community, protecting the environment and finding new solutions for old problems… or rather, old solutions for new problems. (learn more about each of these organizations below)

Premier Integrative Health
Premier Integrative Health is a unique medical practice that uses Integrative and Functional medicine to get to the root cause of our patient's concerns. We focus on the prevention and reversal of disease as opposed to managing symptoms. Our team of doctors, health coaches and dietitians address all aspects of health including nutrition, movement and emotional wellbeing. We create a partnership with our patients to help them achieve their health goals and live the best life they can.
After The Harvest
This incredible organization works to reduce waste by rescuing produce (tossed because of minor imperfections) and distributing it to those who need it most. This way it ends up on hungry families’ tables, instead of in a landfill or rotting in the field. Thanks to thousands of volunteers, growers and financial donors, After the Harvest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, brings apples, berries, squash, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, potatoes, peaches and many other kinds of healthy fruits and vegetables, completely free of charge, to agencies feeding our hungry neighbors in the KC community.
Compost Collective KC
This awesome organization is composed of a small group of caring citizens who want to make composting easy for you and keep food out of landfills. They’ve created a curbside compost pick-up service in the KC area to help reduce food waste & replenish the soils of our community. They are in partnership with Missouri Organic and local farms; after picking up food scraps from your home, they deliver it to these local farms where it is transformed into nutrient-dense compost that will be used to grow MORE nutritious food… and the cycle begins again!
