This year’s Sista Strut kickoff invites you to an evening of powerful storytelling, healing, and community connection. We’re proud to present the premiere of Just Wait III: The Art of Living After the Scars Have Healed—the latest installment in a film series that continues to shed light on the lived experiences of Black women facing breast cancer.
Executive produced by Ira Mallory and directed by Rhonda Greene, Just Wait III shares honest, intimate stories of survivorship and strength, including a tribute to the late Jessica Johnson, whose courageous journey first inspired this series.
This isn’t just a film screening. It’s a space to reflect, to honor, and to uplift the voices of those who carry both the visible and invisible marks of their fight—and who continue to live boldly beyond the diagnosis.
