But today, Sili, a young girl of about twelve who moves with the help of crutches and begs to survive while supporting her blind grandmother decides to sell newspapers like the boys. However, this small world of newspaper vendors is ruthless, she will encounter hardship but also the friendship shared among the less fortunate. (II) BONNARIEN (France) Mauricette Bonnarien (twenty-seven years old) works as a dockworker at the port of Dégrad des Cannes in French Guiana. In her free time, she performs slam poetry. What to do? 16 April : (I) LA PETITE VENDEUSE DE SOLEIL (Senegal) Sili is between ten and thirteen years old, lives on the streets, and gets around with the help of crutches. A beggar, she holds out her hand where the boys sell newspapers. But that morning she was violently pushed aside by them. She had to struggle to get back on her feet and was deeply humiliated. That’s when she made up her mind. Starting tomorrow, she will sell newspapers like everyone else. What applies to men also applies to women. This small world of newspaper sellers is ruthless. There, she will encounter pain, dreams... and finally, friendship. (II) - LA FRANC (Senegal) The film follows the musician Marigo, who dreams of his instrument, a congoma, which was confiscated by his landlady because he owes her six months` rent. A friend entrusts him with a national lottery ticket, which he decides to keep safe until the draw: he sticks it to his door and covers it with a poster of a childhood hero. It turns out to be the winning number, but to claim the money, he would have to peel off the ticket. 18 April : VERMINES (France) Faced with a spider invasion, the residents of an apartment building must fight to survive.
