Welcome to "Cine Fest," presented by "CENNOVATION 2024," a platform dedicated to celebrating and fostering the creativity of filmmakers. We invite all enthusiasts to participate by submitting their films within the specified timeline. Following submission, selected films will be showcased on CENNOVATION's Official Facebook page and the winning entries will be honored with an official screening at the IUT auditorium on the event day.
Topic: Through my Lens - Transportation Systems, Environment and People of Bangladesh
Eligibility:
Bangladeshi nationalities including -
1. Students from College or University level
2. Freelancers or Individuals
3. Members of any independent Film Society or Drama Club
Industry professionals, production houses, and equivalents are not eligible to participate.
Event Details:
Duration of Content: The duration of submitted films should not exceed 8 minutes, including credits.
Basic Requirements: Your content must include these 3 elements -
i. A clearly defined topic or problem related to the transportation system, and its impact on the environment and public lifestyle.
ii. Evidence related to the chosen topic or problem, such as public interviews, factual data, or real video footage supporting the topic.
iii. A conclusive climax or solution.
Creativity is encouraged beyond these mandatory elements.
Previous Screenings: Films previously shown at private screenings and not accessible to the public are eligible. Additionally, films screened at other festivals worldwide must disclose the festival names during submission.
Usage Authority: By submitting an entry, the entrant confirms the legal authority to use all music, images, and content included in the film.
Submission Limit: Each team may submit only one film per registration.
Member Limit: While individual submissions are preferred, teams may consist of up to 4 members.
Format: All films must be in MP4 (.mp4) format.
Submission Process: Films should be uploaded to Google Drive (Edit access: Anyone), and the link must be sent via email to [email protected]. Email attachments must include:
1. doc file containing:
a)Team name
b)Participant names
c)Institution name or affiliation (mention "Freelancer," "Film Society," or "Drama Club" if not affiliated)
d)Contact numbers of the participants
e)Present addresses of the participants
2. Another .doc file providing a short description of the film, including the software used and notable effects. The filename should be the team's name.

Judging Criteria and Marks Distribution:
Basic Requirements (as detailed in Event Details - No. 2) - 30 points
Engagement metrics such as comments and shares on social media platforms - 35 points
Uniqueness, creativity and entertainment value - 15 points
Originality (use of self-shot video clips) - 10 points
Technical Excellence (video quality, sound clarity, production value, subtitles etc) - 10 points

Registration Fee:
After primary selection, the Registration Fee for 'Cine Fest 2024' is BDT 510 per Member.
