The BRBT production of the cherished classic Cinderella will enchant audiences of all ages at the River Center Performing Arts Theatre April 20 and 21 at 2:00 p.m. The long-time established ballet company of Louisiana's Capital City will join forces with professional guest artists Leigh Anne Albrechta and David Senti from Louisville Ballet who will perform the roles of Cinderella and the ever-so-loved Prince Charming.
This version of the magical fairy tale is choreographed by BRBT Artistic Director Sharon Mathews, with additional choreography by Rebecca Acosta and Jonna Cox, and includes interactive elements sure to provide fun for the whole family! “The art of ballet is such a wonderful way to tell this classic story,” said Co-Artistic Director Molly Buchmann, “and Sharon’s production brings to life beautiful dancing, comedy and romance."
While Cinderella will serve as the grand finale for the BRBT season, it will also end a 48-year era for the company under the artistic direction of Buchmann and Mathews who will celebrate their retirement in June.
Tickets to Cinderella are on sale now, ranging from $27-$47, and are available here: https://www.ticketmaster.com/search?q=baton+rouge+ballet+theatre+cinderella
