About this Event
Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness Winter Hiking Series
Get ready to explore the great outdoors with our Winter Hiking Series, part of our Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness program! Join us in person as we hit the trails (and stairs!) to stay active and soak up some fresh air this winter. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun way to boost your wellness, these hikes are perfect for all levels. Lace up your boots and come enjoy nature, good company, and some healthy adventure!
From November through February, we’re exploring a new Cincinnati Park or greenspace each week—discovering winter overlooks, deep forest trails, hillside views, and hidden gems across our 65 miles of trails. Each hike is guided, free, and designed for all experience levels. Every weekend, we'll explore winter’s wonderland—whether it’s mindfulness, movement, nature connection, or simply the joy of getting outside together. The weather won’t stop us from exploring, so layer up and embrace the season with us!
Join us for an inclusive, family-friendly winter hike at Mt. Airy Forest as part of our Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness Winter Hiking Series. Winter hiking allows us to continue the momentum of last year, breathe deep, feel the refreshing cool air, and make space for joy, play, and connection.
This be.well hike includes snowball activities and building a “snowman” with Olaf, along with adaptive hiking equipment available for children and adults. The hike is accessibility-focused and designed to welcome participants of all abilities.

About be.well
be.well is a community-focused wellness initiative through the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center OTPT (Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy) Division, designed to connect children and families to movement, nature, and joyful experiences that support physical and emotional health. Through partnerships with Cincinnati Parks and Cincinnati Parks Foundation, the program brings adaptive equipment, play-based activities, and guided outdoor experiences into parks—removing barriers to participation and helping children and families of all abilities build confidence, resilience, and a lasting connection to wellness through nature.
