Proceeds benefit the programs and preservation of Woodford Mansion, a National Historic Landmark built in 1756. Additionally, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission awarded Woodford a matching grant to restore areas of the mansion that were used as work and living spaces by enslaved African domestic servants in the 18th century. Once completed, these behind-the-scenes restorations will show new parts of the mansion and help us tell a fuller story of the enslaved and indentured servants who served Woodford’s early owners. Your support of CiderFest will help us meet the grant’s requirement for matching funding.
