You hear cicadas singing in the trees, but did you know Middle Georgia actually has seven different species of cicadas every summer from May to September? And did you know we are just now experiencing the emergence of the Brood XIX 13-year periodical cicadas? Ocmulgee Mounds NHP will present mother-daughter team - Miki Fluker and Elizabeth Causey - on Friday, April 26th at 5 PM as they reveal the secrets of summer cicadas. There will be an indoor presentation followed by an outdoor listening session.
All are welcome. Free admission. Gate will stay open until 5:30 to allow entrance.
