CIBSE is a globally recognised organisation and the only Institution that specifically promotes the art, science and practice of building services engineering. CIBSE supports the careers of its engineers by providing internationally accredited routes to professional Registration and Membership, including Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer and Engineering Technician. Once qualified, CIBSE offers a range of services, all focussed on maintaining and enhancing professional excellence throughout your career.
CIBSE is the standard setter and authority on building services engineering. It publishes Guidance and Codes, which are internationally recognised and sets the criteria for best practice in the profession, which are available freely to CIBSE members of all grades.
In Australia, CIBSE is in consultation with state authorities to assist with developing new registration schemes that will strengthen confidence in and compliance of the building sector and have implications for practising engineers in the coming months and years.
