John 3:16 is a Christmas play about a homeless girl & boy (played by Bethany & Jacob Whitehead) who finds the love of Jesus and the warmth and love of Christmas when the policeman (played by Isaac Whitehead) sends them to a nearby orphanage. He instructs the little girl & boy to say John 3:16 to the nice lady who will meet her. Throughout the play the children repeat, “John 3:16, I don’t understand it, but it sure makes a hungry girl full, John 3:16 I don’t understand it but is sure make a cold girl warm, John 3: 16, I don’t understand it but it sure makes a dirty girl clean, John 3:16, I don’t understand it but it sure makes a lost girls saved.
The loving Christian ladies at the orphanage (played by Sherry Hill & Ruthanne Bass) show the love of Jesus and the warmth of Christmas as they teach by example the love found in Jesus taught by John 3:16.
Along with the pastor & his wife (played by Brian & Heather Whitehead), the children are told the Christmas story (acted out by Jodi Dennison & Everett Selvidge) and how it all comes back to John 3:16.
Come join us as we celebrate the story of God's greatest gift to mankind.
