Chunky Hand Knit Throw Workshop

Learn how to hand knit a chunky throw blanket using just your hands—no needles, no pattern required. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll start your throw with guided instruction in class, then finish at home and make it any size you like.

Yarn is not included in the class fee. For a standard throw, bring 9–10 skeins of true jumbo (size 7) chenille yarn (about 280 yards total). Only true size 7 jumbo chenille will work—bulky (size 5) yarn labeled as “jumbo” will not produce the correct stitch or scale. A yarn reference photo is included in the listing to help you choose the right thickness.

You’ll leave class with your throw started and the confidence to complete it at home in your own size and style.
