About this Event
We are thrilled to invite you to participate or spectate in our upcoming performance contest on July 8, 2023, in San Francisco, CA at the CounterPulse Theater. This event will feature up to 20 talented performers (10 rappers & 10 singers) broken into two categories; singers and rappers, each of whom will have the opportunity to showcase their skills by performing two of their original songs in front of a live audience. The winner of each respective category will receive over $1000 in rewards including a cash prize of $200, a free instrumental, free music video, 1 hour of consultation, a free copy of The Indie Artist Handbook, a radio interview on 89.1 FM in Santa Rosa with DJ Prodkt, a feature in the next issue of 1 World Magazine, & an automatic slot into the “Tournament of Champions” featuring winners from each competition leading up to the tournament. 2nd & 3rd place winners will receive 2 free hours of recording time at Rich City Studios & a copy of the Indie Artist Handbook. Each contestant will also receive a video and photos of their performance following the competition.
The judging panel for the event will consist of entertainment and music industry professionals including former BET Exec, artist developer(H.E.R., Tyga, Rae Sremmurd, Silento), and talent scout for America's Got Talent & So You Think You Can Dance, B Mike Rob, Bay Area super producer & Radio Personality DJ Prodkt, & CMG of legendary Hip Hop Duo The Conscious Daughters. The judges will provide feedback on each performance and award scores on a 1-5 point scale based on various criteria such as crowd control/engagement, performance energy, how well they know/recite their song, and song subject matter/content/originality. The artist from each category with the highest score at the end of the night win.
Not only will attendees have the opportunity to hear great music, network, and support local talent, but the event will also be live-streamed via the Encore app in the METAVERSE so that people from all over the world can enjoy the performances.
The registration fee for artists to be in the contest is $100. We encourage you to sign up soon, as there are only 10-12 spots available, and we anticipate a high level of interest in this event.
Spectator tickets start at $7 for online streaming and $20 for in-person viewing. We look forward to hearing your music and seeing you perform on July 8, 2023!
