About this Event
Chuck van Zyl is best known as host of STAR'S END (WXPN's renowned radio program of spacemusic dreamscapes) and as coordinator of The Gatherings (Philadelphia's premiere concert series of innovative music), Chuck van Zyl has also been making his own unique style of electronic music since 1983.
Private Sea are Ryan M Todd and Alex Tebbs Mitchell, a musical project built for an auditory exploration of the wild blue yonder. Celebrating their debut full-length release on fledgling electronic music label, Health Connection Tapes.
The Chestnut Hill Skyspace, Greet the Light, is a permanent art installation designed by the artist James Turrell and is part of the Chestnut Hill Friends Meetinghouse. A Skyspace is a room created with an opening, or aperture, in the ceiling where viewers see the sky.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Please arrive promptly between 6:30 - 7pm. Late arrivals will be admitted in limited intervals.
- Visitors are welcome to lie down on the floor or benches. Guests should remove shoes to avoid footwear on the benches. Visitors are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, and a pillow to cushion their heads and support their shoulders.
- The Skyspace is open to the elements so attendees should dress appropriately for the season.
- In the event of inclement weather, the retractable roof will remain closed and an alternate light piece of James Turrell's will play.
- Out of respect for the artists, venue, and attendees, please refrain from taking pictures or cell phone use.
- There is limited site and on-street parking. The venue is close to a few modes of public transit. Directions here.
