Since his neo-psychedelic days with Green On Red, Chuck Prophet has been touring Europe and the UK for forty years with his blend of Alt country, folk, blues, power pop and Brill Building classicism. His last visit to European and UK shores was back in 2023 with rammed venues everywhere, just after finally beating cancer that floored him for much of 2022. Chuck is now back with his first record since 2020 which is due this October. He will be returning with a band for a full European and UK tour just after the release. Chuck started touring the EU and UK forty years back in September 1984 when Green on Red plucked him out of Berkeley, CA and flew him over to Europe for his first ever run. Green on Red then put him in the van for an eight-year ride with festivals and over ten UK, EU tours, with six albums. They broke up in 1992 just before the Alt-country movement they helped create followed in their wake. Since then Chuck has released fourteen stellar solo albums and toured and recorded with Lucinda Williams, Aimee Mann, Cake, Alejandro Escovedo and Jonathan Richman. In addition to that, Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Solomon Burke and Heart have covered his songs which many have been put into movies, TV series. Chuck’s epic live shows are second to none and he has sold out gigs across the US, UK and EU featuring slots on festivals like Summertyne, Kilkenny, Glastonbury, Roskilde, etc.
