About this Event
CHS Summer Camp
Calgary Humane Society Summer Camp is a place where kids connect with animals. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for children to interact and learn about the animals that share our world. An enthusiastic staff of instructors and friendly animals give your child an enriching experience filled with fun activities, crafts, and hands-on animal encounters. As they have fun, campers learn respect, compassion, and how to provide a lifetime of care for animals.
Activities are age and developmentally appropriate. For those campers wishing to attend multiple weeks of camp, we have a different theme each week, ensuring diverse experiences.
Campers will learn about animal characteristics, behavior and proper pet care as well as meet and pet bunnies, cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and more!
Theme Description: Pets 101 (Grades 1-3)
Everything you wanted to know about having a pet but were afraid to ask! Which animals make good pets? What kind of care do they need? Will this puppy stay this small forever...? Campers will explore all these questions and more. Perfect for the camper who may be ready to take on the responsibilities of pet ownership- or the one who maybe needs a bit more info.
