CHS Summer Camp
Calgary Humane Society Summer Camp is a place where kids connect with animals. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for children to interact and learn about the animals that share our world. An enthusiastic staff of instructors and friendly animals give your child an enriching experience filled with fun activities, crafts, and some hands-on animal encounters. As they have fun, campers learn respect, compassion, and how to provide a lifetime of care for animals.
Activities are age and developmentally appropriate. For those campers wishing to attend multiple weeks of camp, we have a different theme each week, ensuring diverse experiences.
Campers will learn about animal characteristics, behavior and proper pet care as well as meet and pet bunnies, cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and more!
Theme Description: Once Upon an Animal (Grades 1-3)
Campers will jump through the pages of their favorite storybooks as they explore the roles of animals and mythical creatures in storytelling and bring these stories to life by accessing their inner actor through drama games, mask work and puppetry. Animal guests and crafts will make this a magical week your campers won’t forget.
