It's been such a long "Time" since our last get-together and we "Only Wanna Be With You," so mark your calendars for the Columbia High Class of 2001 Tailgate at the Hootie show at SPAC on Saturday, June 15th!Why a tailgate and why the Hootie & The Blowfish show? A daytime tailgate allows people to bring their families (if they want) and it's a Saturday show in June featuring three '90s artists (Hootie/Collective Soul/Edwin McCain), so we figured it will make for a fun time. Even if you aren't a fan of the artists performing, we still hope you'll come for the tailgate.
The tailgate itself goes from 3:30-6:30 pm at Coesa Pavilion in Saratoga Spa State Park, just a short walk from SPAC. After the tailgate, join your fellow alumni for the concert at 7 (lawn tickets start at $55) or if you're not interested in the show you can head into Saratoga for a night on the town with your friends instead.
Note that Saratoga Spa State Park charges $10 per car so be prepared to pay that upon entry, then proceed to the Coesa Pavilion on Geyser Loop Rd. You can leave your car in the parking lot if you are going to the concert but overnight parking is not allowed.
This is a "BYO" tailgate, so bring your own chairs, cooler, adult beverages, grill, snacks, etc. The pavilion rental and light refreshments are courtesy of our sponsor Foursurance (my insurance agency). Just remember you must clean up after yourselves and take out whatever you bring in BEFORE the concert starts since we must vacate the pavilion by dusk.
