Just in time for hunting season, Wild Montana's Island Range Chapter invites you to an evening program on Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD).Join us on Oct 23rd at 7:00 pm. in the public meeting room of FWP Region 4 Office, 4600 Giant Springs Road, for an in-depth look at how CWD is affecting Montana’s wildlife and what’s being done to address it.
Alex Kunkel, Wildlife Biologist, will provide an update on the state’s monitoring program and the latest findings on CWD in wild ungulate populations.
Dr. Andrea Grindeland, a Veterinarian and researcher with the McLaughlin Research Institute, will share new research on field testing methods and examine whether CWD poses risks to humans.
