CHRISTUS St. Vincent is hosting a community genetic testing event Tuesday, December 3rd from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (455 St. Michaels Drive, Santa Fe) for associates and community members. If you wish to attend, please bring your insurance card as the testing will be billed to your insurance. If you have a family history of cancer such as a parent or sibling diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50 or younger or multiple relatives on the same side of the family with cancer, please come see Dr. Jambhekar and our CHRISTUS St. Vincent Cancer Center team to be screened for testing for genes such as BRCA1/2.
If you meet the criteria for genetic testing, we will be offering on-site blood draws fot the test. Most insurances cover genetic texting with no out of pocket cost and all associates who were tested at our initial event had no out of pocket cost.
