Kickstart the festive season with expert florist, Renata Egan-Wyer, and create your own Christmas wreath in the atmospheric surroundings of The Garden Cafe, in the shadow of Anne Hathaway's Cottage.Using locally grown, seasonal foliage including mistletoe, holly, and ivy you will be shown, at a leisurely pace, how to create a showstopping wreath to place on your own front door.
Most of the items used in the workshop would have been available in Shakespeare’s lifetime and can be composted, recycled, or reused. Sian Cooper, Head Gardener at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust will be on hand to help explore how these plants would have been used in Shakespeare’s time and how they are continuing to be grown across the Shakespeare family homes today.
You will be guided through the different stages of building your very own masterpiece, which will last all the way into the New Year.
Bring a friend, enjoy a seasonal drink and enjoy making your own festive creation that will have the neighbours green with envy.
