Would you like to help someone in need this Christmas? Help us support two local charities by donating to our Christmas Wish Tree campaign. This year, staff and students are invited to either donate physical gifts or make a monetary donation, providing much-needed support to two local charities. The charities have been chosen by representatives from Durham Students’ Union and have submitted wish lists of items that would benefit their work.
Our Christmas Wish Trees can be found in Bill Bryson Library, Dunelm House, Oriental Museum, Palace Green Library and the Palatine Centre.
Here’s how to get involved...
Donating a physical gift:
• Pick up one or more gift tags from one of our Christmas Wish Trees from Wednesday 1 December.
• Buy and wrap the gift(s) written on the tags, and attach the tag to your gift(s)
• Place your wrapped and tagged gift(s) back under the Christmas Wish Tree by Monday 13 December.
Making a monetary donation:
• Visit the donation pages for our chosen charities this year (see below) or scan the QR codes on one of our Christmas Wish Trees. You can choose to support one or both charities.
• Donate an amount of your choice, which will help the charity to provide items from their wish list
• Donations should be made before Monday 13 December.
