It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and to celebrate, we’re heading back to King Edward Park for more FREE family-friendly fun and festive cheer. ✨ Park your picnic on the hill and enjoy an evening of carols and entertainment from 5pm. Then, after the sun sets, we’ll settle in for an open-air screening of the 90’s holiday classic Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992, PG). 🏠😱🎄✈️👱See you there, you filthy animal!

• Is it free to attend?
Yes, this a free event for the whole family!
• What time will the movie start?
Once the sun goes down, at approximately 8:30-9pm.
• What time should I arrive?
A bit earlier than 5pm, to secure a great spot and soak up the atmosphere.
• Do I have to attend the Carols, or can I just come along for the movie?
No, you don’t have to attend the carols to enjoy the movie! However, we do recommend arriving before sundown to secure a spot and comfortably enjoy the screening.
• Are transport options available?
Yes, a free shuttle bus will be operating between 4.00pm-11.59pm from Bar Beach Car Park and Bolton Street Car Park, doing continuous loops every 10-15 minutes.
• Is alcohol permitted?
No, this is an alcohol-free event. Please bring your favourite non-alcoholic drinks, or purchase some from the local vendors on the day.
• Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
Yes, there will be food vans on-site selling a variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Can I bring picnic?
Absolutely! But please leave glassware at home.
• Can I bring a chair or pram?
Yes, however, we’ll kindly ask that you sit in a designated area.
• Can I bring my dog?
No, this is strictly a pet-free event with the exception of assistance dogs. We want all attendees to feel comfortable and enjoy the evening, so please leave your pooch at home.
• What else should I bring?
We recommend bringing your own picnic rug, bottled water, sunscreen and insect repellent.
• Are captions available?
Yes, this screening will include captions to ensure everyone in the community can enjoy the movie.
• What happens if it rains?
We’ll closely monitor the weather in the lead-up to the event and provide any updates here ahead of time.
