Join Jenna from Sychar's Well on 30th November for a festive, creative and experimental morning block printing your own Christmas-themed item in the barn at Cavan House, Rathfriland. Choose between printing either a cotton cushion cover, set of four napkins, christmas stocking or a tea towel.Our workshop will run from 10.30am until 1.30. After some warming festive mulled punch to kick-start the morning, the workshop will begin with participants learning about pattern making, and will spend some time experimenting with Jenna's own handcut Christmas-themed blocks to create your own unique pattern. After learning printing techniques and test printing on paper, you will hand print your own unique pattern on on to your item of choice which you can take home and treasure- but importantly, which can be brought out every year to use at Christmas time.
Guests will be provided with festive, non-alcoholic mulled punch, tea & coffee and traybakes from the award winning Vera & Ernie's in Rathfriland.
Please select your item of choice when purchasing your ticket.
As we will be working with textile ink, please either bring an apron or be advised not wear your finery!
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
