17:00 - 19:00 at Waterstones, CorkOur annual Christmas Shopping Evening is one of our favourite events of the year. It is an evening when we get to share some festive cheer not only with our customers but also with some local authors and musicians and when we raise some money for a local charity.
This year, as usual, there will be mulled wine, mince pies ( from the Alternative Bread Company ) gift wrapping, author signings and music. We will be joined by authors Conal Creedon, Leona Forde, Shane Lehane, Norman McCloskey, Geraldine Osborne, Tom Climent, Dagmar O'Riain-Raedel, Richard Wood and Joe Philpott all of whose books make wonderful Christmas gifts. We are especially excited that the music this year will be provided by the wonderful White Horse Gospel Choir under the direction of Aoibheann Carey Philpott who will be here from 6pm. It is going to be a special evening so why not come along and pick up some personalised gifts, enjoy the fun and maybe make a donation to Marymount Hospice.
