Come ready to volunteer! We will set up at 3:00, and begin at 3:30. We could use wrapping paper and tape! We are open to partnerships. (This event is only for those who reside inside of the Harris Community Shelter). They have 7 family rooms. 18 in the mens dorm, and 14 in the womens dorm.
My name is Amber. I am the 24/26 President of the GFWC Ladies Community Club of Tooele. Our club is doing a three part project for the shelter this year.
On December 22nd, 3pm-6pm, we will have a group of volunteers at the shelter.
Part One - We are having a craft event where the kids (the ones who live at the shelter) can make their parents a craft. The kids will be wrapping them for their parent for Christmas. Santa 🎅 will join us at 4.
Part Two - We have an Amazon Wishlist. This will provide a chance for the parents to come in and choose one gift for each child to wrap and gift from them. All other items will be wrapped and donated from Santa. (This allows the parents and kids to feel good about providing a gift).

Part 3- We recognize that all humans deserve love during the holidays ❤️. So we will be providing a small gift to all 18 men and 14 women. This will probably be a hygiene kit with some extra love in it. Based on items not typically donated.
We are not doing clothing, but there is a congregation that is also helping with the clothing side of things.
