On Thursday 28th November, the streets of Falmouth will fill with festive fun at this years Christmas Lights Switch-On event!The evening will begin with a performance by Sing Choir on The Moor stage while the parade, led by Kernow Pipes and Drums, makes it’s way through town from Events Square.
Compered by Neil and Saffy from Hits Radio Cornwall, expect performances from five local schools while tucking into your churros and hot drinks.
The person nominated to switch-on the Christmas lights will push the plunger and illuminate Falmouth at 7pm. Rock Choir will be rounding off the evening with an energetic performance so you can savour the atmosphere a little while longer.
Nominations are open from 24th October - 21st November for the community to suggest local heroes to take centre stage and illuminate the town. Whether it’s a volunteer who has gone above and beyond, a young person who has inspired others, or an unsung hero, this is an opportunity to honour those who have made a positive impact on the town.
How to nominate:
• Nominations can be sent via email to [email protected] or by phoning the Town Team office on 01326 313553, before the deadline of Midday on Thursday 21st November.
• Details should include the nominee’s name, a brief description of why they deserve to be recognised and their contact details.
• The lucky individual or group selected will need to be free from 5.30pm to 8pm on the evening of the switch-on.
