The Christmas Run Is Back Again! AkRun’s favorite holiday run and social gathering returns. We will hit the streets of AkRun on Tuesday, December 16th. Very exciting news that the City of Akron has approved us to gather at the New Lock 3 in Downtown Akron. We will meet in the Akron Children’s Museum and warming area concession room. You can arrive anytime 5:30 on. We will have a brief welcome and go over the course and the midpoint “break” meeting spot near Stan Hywet at 6pm. We will start the run immediately following. (6:10ish) A group photo may happen at the midpoint. I’ll update that detail. We will then get back at it and the second half of the course. The course is approximately 8 miles. The entire course has been part of the Akron Marathon course at some point. We will have course monitors to help guide you. Post run the fun continues as we gather at the Barley House and celebrate the holidays together breaking bread, hydrating in many different ways 😉 and swapping our running tales. You may even meet and find new runner friends and awesome area groups. All area groups are encouraged to join the fun. I’m so excited to bring back this awesome gathering and run for all area runners of all abilities. Updates on any necessary details will follow. Get Excited AkRun 🎅🏻
