Learn how to make Spice Sauerkraut, and Chrim-Chi (Christmas Kimchi) in time to gift to your loved ones, or serve as the most fermental side on your Christmas feast!
Join Caroline Gilmartin PhD for some elevenses/ afternoon tea (depending on the time of day!) as she talks you through what exactly is going on in the jars of delicious fermented goodies, and why fermented vegetables are amazing things.
You'll learn how to re-create your favourite ferments at home, and slicing your daikon + other veggies into festive shapes!
We’ll also take a sensible look at some of the health benefits (both proven and theoretical) and the dos and don’ts of fermentation so you’ll know exactly what to do at home.
There will be various ferments to try and we’ll finish with a light supper when all the hard work is done.
