City of Darwin is bringing back the much-loved Darwin Christmas activities, kicking off with the new City of Darwin Makers Market, Christmas floats moving through the city, Lord Mayors Lighting of Christmas Tree, Christmas Concert and more on Saturday 15 November 2025! ✨ Watch community groups, schools and local organisations bring the Christmas spirit to life celebrating the rich and diverse culture of the Top End.
🕺Float route: Starts at The Esplanade (corner of Knuckey Street) and finishes at Civic Park, Smith Street, Darwin
Program highlights:
🎨 City of Darwin Maker’s Market: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm | Brought to you by Darwin City Retailers Association
👯♀️ Darwin Christmas Float: 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm
🪄 Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree: 7:00 pm – 7:15 pm
🎈 Christmas Concert: 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Food trucks will be serving food from 5:00 pm at Civic Park
