It's Christmas Time.... there's no need to be afraid.... to join us this year! Come and join us as we do some different activities keeping your children occupied during the day, in the run off, helping them to burn off that excess energy! By the end of the day, they will be hopefully be worn out from all of the exercise they will have done. In the morning, it's time to splash around in the pool with some structured activities and games. This may include some teaching on technique, as we help to develop water confidence and skill, but will also include fun races and games too, including some water polo. After lunch, it's time to do some orienteering and doing a Christmas challenge around the town centre, with some orienteering. A great way of being able to explore what is around us and in our very own town. This won't just be normal orienteering - we might be taking on board a pac-man style where you've got to chase the other group, or completing some QR codes, or you need to work out the riddles to find the next clue! What's for sure though is that you're going to find out about the history of the area, whilst having fun at the same time. Did you know that St Paul's Church in the town centre was actually used as a secret broadcast station for the BBC in World War 2? When did Bedford have a castle and who lived there?
Drop off time from 9am and late pick up available at 5pm.
Payment can be made by childcare vouchers.
This activity is aimed at children and teenagers aged 8 to 15.
It is planned that we will be starting and finishing at Bedford School, however please note that this may change. The joining instructions which you will be sent will confirm the location, times and what you need to bring. A packed lunch will be required.
