This Christmas we are going to Montanejos to do Senda de la Bojera – the most impressive hiking route in the area. After the hike you can even go for a Christmas swim – how cool is that?La Bojera trail, situated on the edge of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, begins in the picturesque town of Montanejos and takes hikers along two dramatic cliffs that rise above the Maimona ravine. This 11-kilometer loop route offers a moderately challenging adventure, showcasing sweeping views of rugged limestone formations, deep ravines, and the turquoise waters of the Mijares River below. The trail meanders through a landscape dotted with pine forests and Mediterranean shrubs, with occasional steep sections leading to breathtaking viewpoints perched high above the ravine.
