Escape the hustle and bustle of December and spend a relaxing day sewing in the beautiful g&g studio!
In this fun sewing class, learn to sew a gorgeous duo of cosmetic bags that would make wonderful Christmas gifts for others. Or if you prefer, you can always indulge yourself and create your cosmetic bags as a delightful treat to yourself.
This one day class is suitable for confident beginners who know how to use a sewing machine to make simple projects, but want to progress their sewing skills to learn how to insert a zipper. It's not as difficult as is seems folks!
You will also be given your own paper patterns and set of instructions to take away with you, so when you go home you can make more cosmetic bags to give as gifts for people.
You will learn:
How to cut fabric out accurately using a paper pattern
How to join fabrics together to construct a 3D product
How to attach a contrast fabric
How to attach a zipper
How to make a lined product
What interfacing is and what it is used for
How to use Prym variopliers to attach bag hardware - rivets and snap fasteners
What is included:
Bag hardware: Rivets, snap fastener and ochre 21cm metal tooth zip
Interfacing
Use of all sewing machines, tools and equipment
Tea/coffee and biscuits
