The sacred Christmas story is one of chaos, and family. Mary and Joseph journey to his ancestral home. Yet, in the midst of a feeding troughs and a cramped space shared with the warmth of animals, they experience a sacred homecoming. Together, we marvel at this beautiful, sacred story—one that invites us all into the very heart of God. And we wonder together about Jesus, the Christ child born without invitation, who would devote his life to welcoming those who feel they don’t belong.
