Kids of all ages (and, yes, that includes adults!) are encouraged to participate in this “Instant Pageant” on Christmas Eve.
One great way to teach and celebrate the Christmas story is to act it out. The core of this early Christmas Eve service is an “Instant Pageant,” which is pretty much what it sounds like. People of all ages and genders are recruited to play a part of their own choice in a pantomime presentation of the story, told by a narrator and Christmas Carols. There are no rehearsals.
The service will be held at 5:00, early enough (we hope) that our youngest members can participate and get home for some dinner and get to bed at a reasonable hour. “This is always fun, and sometimes a little funny,” Pastor Jeff said. “It’s a great way to tell the Christmas story.
