Christmas-Themed Craft Taster Event:This is your opportunity to try FOUR amazing techniques in one day, delivered by some of the finest local artists and tutors.
You will immerse yourself in a full day, packed with creativity, engaging in four one-hour long taster workshops, creating a textiles, chocolate, stained glass and mosaic. The day includes all tuition, materials, plenty of refreshments and a delicious cream tea.
Your four amazing tutors and activities on this Christmas-themed event are:
Jo of Jo Snowdon Stained Glass:
A Stunning Stained Glass Holly Sprig:
Create a beautiful holly sprig to hang in your home. Firstly, you will cut the glass for your leaves and select the glass beads for the berries. Next, you will foil their edges and then solder them together. Finally, you will polish your piece and choose a colourful Christmas ribbon to hang it from.

A Cute Appliqué Robin:
This chirpy little robin is sure to bring cheer to your tree year after year. You will be able to choose your fabrics, including a sparkly breast and appliqué the design onto felt hearts. You can include a real feather for his tail too if desired and a sparkly hanging loop completes your design. Suitable for all abilities including those without sewing experience.

A Set of Tasty Chocolate:
Not only is chocolate delicious but it can be used as a creative medium to create edible pictures. Be creative with chocolate…design 4 chocolate lollies and a picture using chocolate, transfer sheets and a selection of edible materials.
And then mosaic with me, Rachel:
An Eye-catching Mosaic Christmas Tree.
I will show you the tips and tricks, using the direct method, to create a free-standing Christmas tree that will look beautiful on display in your home, There will be lots a sparkly bits on hand and there will be plenty of colours for you to choose from to make your tree unique. We won't get time to grout as the glue will be wet, but you will be given instructions and grout to finish your tree off at home.
