This November, why not join other WI members and friends for a day of self-care and enjoyment. Give yourself an early gift of a Christmas craft mini workshop
Once again, your Homes Crafts and Gardens Committee have worked hard to offer you the opportunity to take part in up to four mini- workshops in one day.
You can choose from, stitched cards, Fabric Christmas Angels,
Japanese Furoshiki wrapping techniques.
You can take part in just one workshop? Or you can join up to four. At £10.00 per workshop with two free hot or cold drinks, included why wouldn’t you? Or your friends, this event is open to them too.
Some workshops are only available either in the morning or the
afternoon, so please make sure you fill in your choices on the form with your secretary. You will be asked for a second choice for all workshops If workshops are oversubscribed, and your second choice is also full, places will unfortunately be balloted.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT TASTER DAY
Once again Wendy and her Glamorous assistant will be (wo)manning our fabulous fabric and haberdashery stall, so bring a bag to take home all your goodies.
You can pay by cash or card on the stall.
In addition, Teas, coffees and soft drinks will be available to
purchase, there will also be some delicious cakes for sale too, f
you’re staying all day, we suggest you bring a packed lunch,
There’s plenty of free parking and The Reddings is totally accessible,
please join us, lets make this an annual event.

Join Claire for this charming Christmas make, which would also make a great project for your WI or craft group. Using basic hand or machine sewing and with a range of options for personalised
decoration, you will create your own pair of mini angels to take
home.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT TASTER DAY
Gift Making and Wrapping with a Difference
Kay Grey will lead you in this sustainable gifting workshop.
You will be using ideas inspired by the Japanese Furoshiki wrapping techniques.
The workshop will include making a kimono style wrap for a soap
dispenser bottle, and can be adapted to any bottle, perhaps that very acceptable gift of a bottle of wine we fall back on more often than we should; this time make it special and memorable.
You will also have the opportunity to make a tissue box cover, easily removed when the box of tissues needs replacing. So much nicer than a gaudy cardboard box (no-one will know where you purchased them from either).
Add this technique to your skillset and you’ll always have a gift to
give.
Hand Made Silk Paper Christmas Decorations
Come along to this creative session to make ‘speedy’ hand-made silk paper which you can decorate in the colour theme of the season or in your own choice as well as adding beads and glitter to give it your own individual touch.
Several designs and shapes of these individual decorations can be made during the session which can be sewn or glued so something for all skills – novice or experienced
