The celebrated Georgian pianist Ketevan Ward was born in Tbilisi in 1987. At the age of 4 she received her first piano lessons from her mother and subsequently gained a much coveted place at the prestigious "Zakaria Paliashvili Music School for Especially Gifted and Talented Children" where she continued her piano studies with Darejan Tsintsadze.
It was not long before Ketevan's considerable musical talent and pianistic ability became apparent: she gave her first public performances both in recitals and as a concerto soloist at the
age of 6. In addition Ketevan became a laureate and was awarded a special "artist-musician" prize by the jury at the "Jeunes Pianistes" International Competition in Paris. The following year, at the age of 7 and upon the invitation of the jury she again competed in the "Jeunes Pianistes" International Competition where she became the overall winner.
Further successes came with prizes and awards from International Competitions in Italy and Greece. ubsequently, in 2000 Ketevan was invited to play in the International Festival "Young Musicians Academy" in the Tchaikovsky Hall at the Moscow State Conservatoire.
In 2005 Ketevan was awarded the Alexander Toradze scholarship to study at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire with Svetlana Korsantia. Whilst a student she gained her Bachelors degree, Masters degree and remarkably, in 2011, she gained 100 percent in all her performances as both a soloist and chamber musician. As a result Ketevan was awarded the highly prized
"Diploma of Outstanding Artist".
Whilst at Tbilisi State Conservatoire Ketevan learned a huge amount of repertoire and regularly took part in Masterclasses with famous pianists. Also during this times she gained numerous scholarships to travel abroad to play in concerts and festivals. These years were most rewarding for developing her performance skills.
Ketevan has taken part in numerous Masterclasses including those given by JoaquĂn AchĂșcarro, Eliso Virsaladze, Dimitri Bashkirov and she has given many concerts as a soloist, piano accompanist and a chamber musician throughout Georgia and beyond.
For a number of years she has been a regular guest performer at the International Music Festival "Night Serenades" at the personal invitation of renowned international concert violinist Liana Isakadze.
Ketevan is now based in London where she is very active as a piano soloist in recitals and concerto performances. In addition, she travels throughout Europe to perform to a wide audience.
