World War 2 has ended and local hero Johnny James Reasonover Jr. is returning home. To celebrate, and to ring in the holidays, the townsfolk are planning a big hootenanny. Unfortunately a local band of miscreants intends to take advantage of the distraction to rob the town's only bank. What could possibly go wrong for the crooks? Everything, it turns out, when you throw in two fueding busybodies, one escaped rattlesnake, a whole lot of moonshine, and the legendary Wampus Cat!
