We have some very exciting news. Hinckley U23s are playing the recently reformed but still iconic Leicester Thursday RFC on Saturday 27th December at 2.30pm in Hinckley RFC's Annual Christmas Charity Fundraiser. This Christmas fixture has raised over £10,000 in the last few years playing local teams such as Burbage & Nuneaton so we are delighted to announce that Leicester Thursday have agreed to support this charity fundraiser. Team Details
Hinckley U23s are a key part of Hinckley RFCs player development pathway. They were initially formed to give returning students an opportunity to play at Christmas & Easter but have since evolved into a league side. They are coached by Darren Barnes & Dave Masserella. Hinckley RFC's main shirt sponsors are TRB Contractors, Kraken Contracts, ADI Midlands, Penta Pattern & Model & Hay-Band.
Leicester Thursday were initially a side formed to give shop/retail workers the ability to play sport on their day off (Thursday instead of Saturday). How the world has changed! Leicester Thursday has been an integral part of Leicestershire's rugby provision through invite with a great history. Their shirts are currently sponsored by Luke Coltman's Ideal Building Services.
Nominated Charities
Leicester Thursday have nominated 2 charities close to their hearts - the Matt Hampson Foundation and 4ED and this year Hinckley RFC have nominated The Air Ambulance Service - a charity close to many rugby player's heart.

The Air Ambulance Service - To ensure children grow into adults, for adults to live longer and for families to stay together, as bereavement through trauma becomes rare. These guys need no introduction to the rugby fraternity as their service is legendary and all paid for via donations.
Raising Funds
Funds will be raised via the £5 entry tickets bought online. There will also be the ability to add an extra donation should you so wish.

On the day there will be Christmas Raffle and an auction/silent auction (tbd) for a number of rugby memorabilia items of which all proceeds will go into the pot. The pot will be split between the 2 sides to then be distributed to their allotted charities after the event.
