Join me for a festive hand embroidery workshop at The Yard, Norwich, where we’ll be stitching adorable Christmas cats dressed up for the season! 🎄🐱This is a beginner-friendly project and a perfect way to unwind, whether you come with a friend for a cosy pal date or join solo -everyone’s welcome!
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of hand embroidery, including how to set up your hoop, essential hints and tips, and a selection of stitches (back stitch, satin stitch, split stitch, French knots, extended fly stitch, chain stitch).
Your ticket includes a full embroidery kit to keep, with printed fabric, threads, needle, hoop and clear step-by-step instructions. Scissors will be available to borrow, with a small selection for sale on the night.
While we won’t finish the design during the class, you’ll learn all the stitches and techniques you need to complete it confidently at home. It makes a lovely festive decoration, or a thoughtful handmade gift!
