The production will feature the Kindergarten-8 th grade Melody Makers, Carol and Chancel Choirs. The cantata, written by Ron and Betty Nelson, follows the innkeeper’s family as they prepare for the travelers coming from all throughout the Roman Empire.
When a Samaritan family with a sick child asks to have a room, they are denied because the innkeeper is sure the other guests would not stay in the same house as a Samaritan family. Instead, they are given a small room in the back of the inn by the stable. As the inn fills up, more weary travelers appear, and the Christmas miracle unfolds in a very beautiful story of love and acceptance.
The choirs are directed by Ann Tucker, Director of Music, and accompanied by Barbara Thorsen. There will be no Sunday School classes so all children may attend church with their families to enjoy the wonderful presentation in drama and song. Childcare will be available for infants and toddlers.
